Jaya Harper was born on November 28, 2004, in Los Angeles to her parents Laura Dern and Ben Harper. Her 57-year-old actress mum is famous for her starring roles in films and TV shows such as Jurassic Park, Big Little Lies, Marriage Story, Wild at Heart and Little Women, and is known to be besties with fellow actress Reese Witherspoon.

Jaya’s father Ben Harper, 54, is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who plays an eclectic mix of musical genres from blues and folk to soul and reggae. Her parents were married from 2005 to 2013.
