Amid his globe-trotting career, Räikkönen spends his time in his luxury property in Baar, Switzerland, which is near Zürich. Though he recently temporarily relocated to Italy to support his son’s racing aspirations, per motorsports news website Crash, the US$24 million Baar estate has reportedly been the family’s steadfast residence since 2009.

Kimi Räikkönen’s family mansion, Villa Butterfly
Per British media, Räikkönen said, “We searched for a property where we could build our own house. Then we found Villa Butterfly, which was ready for move-in and had a name too.”
The origin of the name Villa Butterfly, however, remains a mystery.
In the heart of Switzerland
Villa Butterfly is located in the picturesque town of Baar, Switzerland, linking the cities of Zürich and Lucerne. Baar, the second largest community in the Canton of Zug, is known as “the entrance to central Switzerland”. With a population of around 24,000, the area is surrounded by lush forests and the serene Lorze River.
