The Murdoch family have long been a topic of interest, and the obsession around one of the world’s wealthiest media empire lineages was only further fuelled after the release of HBO’s Succession, which is believed to have taken inspiration from billionaire Rupert Murdoch and his dynasty.

Most recently, Murdoch’s granddaughter Charlotte Freud has been in the headlines after sharing that her London flat was burgled, according to Australian media.

She shared on Instagram: “To whoever robbed my apartment, was it really necessary to eat a chocolate from my advent calendar?”
“That feels really disrespectful. Like steal my s*** and my Christmas spirit,” she added.

Charlotte Freud has some famous family members

Charlotte Freud is the daughter of Elisabeth Murdoch, Rupert’s second daughter, and PR specialist Matthew Freud – who is, yup, the great-grandson of the founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud.

“My last name has always been something I can’t avoid,” she told British media in 2021, “It’s always been a point of interest, even when I was a kid.” She now prefers to go by “Tiarlie”.
