Chris Hemsworth is not only one of the biggest film stars of our time, he’s also a style icon with a penchant for luxury watches. And as one of the world’s highest paid actors in 2022, banking up to US$20 million per film according to Celebrity Net Worth, it’s safe to assume he has plenty of cash to invest in his collection.

From elegant dress watches and rugged sports models to six-figure timepieces worth as much as an entire house, Hemsworth’s watch collection is as diverse as his acting roles. Here are some of the Australian actor’s most impressive timepieces and their eye-watering price tags.

1. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak(s)

Recently, the Thor superstar was snapped having dinner with his long-time friend and occasional co-star Matt Damon in Santa Monica. He sported a rare Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked black ceramic watch.

Although the sight of two high-profile A-listers would be enough to leave anyone star-struck, it was Hemsworth’s wrist that truly stunned onlookers.

The watch is theoretically available from the watchmaker for US$107,300, but the model’s popularity has seen its value soar on the second-hand market to an astonishing US$490,000. It’s easily one of the most expensive accessories that the actor has shown off in public to date – but it’s far from his only showpiece.

The 39-year-old has been photographed on many a red carpet wearing another design by the luxury Swiss watchmaker – an 18-carat rose gold Royal Oak with a pink gold-toned chronograph, openworked rhodium-toned subdials and pink gold hour markers.

This show-stopping piece of wrist candy also costs a pretty penny, and would set someone back anywhere between US$95,000 and US$218,000 on the pre-owned market.
