Louis Cheung’s early life
Born in 1980, Cheung was in the spotlight from an early age. Some might remember him as the protagonist of a famous instant milk advertisement in the mid-80s or as the child star of films like Road Warriors and No Compromise. But it’s clear he’s come a long way since.
Cheung graduated from Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in acting. He made his debut in theatre in 1997 and has since performed in over 20 stage plays including A Streetcar Named Desire, per The Movie DB.
His Hong Kong showbiz career
But it wasn’t until 2005 that Cheung started dabbling in mainstream showbiz as a singer-songwriter releasing his first album To Be or Not to Be that year. He won the best composer award and singer-songwriter silver award at Commercial Radio’s Ultimate Song Chart Awards in 2008.
While active on the music scene, he signed to TVB in 2012 to diversify his talents, per Celebrity Age Wiki. His supporting role in 2013 comedy series Inbound Troubles was well received, and eventually turned him into a household name in the industry as he took up the leading role in Momentary Lapse of Reason in 2015.
