1. Liu Wen, 2014

The year 2014 saw fashion’s elite and celebs draped in old-world glamour with a throwback to the 1950s all in the name of the theme, “Charles James: Beyond Fashion”. Chinese supermodel Liu Wen’s look was crowned by many as best dressed. She wore an autumn collection 2014 Zac Posen sea-foam strapless silk satin ball gown, which had multiple jutting godets that created the dress’ stunning voluminous shape.
2. Zhang Ziyi, 2015
The 2015 Met Gala theme “China: Through the Looking Glass” was met with some controversy. But this Chinese actress showed the world how to elegantly dress for the theme without being over the top. Zhang Ziyi looked beautiful in a custom-made Carolina Herrera ivory gown that featured a traditional Mandarin collar and floral embellishments. The back of the gown showcased a line of hand-stitched Chinese button knots that led to the voluminous skirt.
3. Fan Bingbing, 2015
Actress and fashion icon Fan Bingbing’s look didn’t fail to impress the same year. The Chinese star stunned in a golden-bronze embellished column gown from designer Christopher Bu, which was paired with an embroidered jewel-toned cape and perfected the look with jewels from Chopard.
