The RHOSLC returned for season three on September 28, promising more drama – all while Jen Shah is preparing for her November trial from an alleged fraud scheme

Shah’s fortune is unclear given her current court controversy, but out of Whitney Rose, Meredith Marks, Lisa Barlow and Heather Gay, who’s got the biggest bank balance?

After an explosive season of dramatic clashes, serious legal woes and major fraud allegations, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City are back.

Though the popular reality TV series lost two of its full-time cast members, Mary Cosby and Jennie Nguyen, the recently premiered third season promises to deliver no less drama. The new season’s first episode aired on September 28.

Based on previews, fans of the show are expecting compelling storylines of continued tensions, shifting alliances and, perhaps most notably, the aftermath of Jen Shah’s highly publicised arrest following her alleged involvement in extensive wire fraud and money laundering schemes.

While the cast’s estimated net worths have been widely reported, due to the shocking events of season two, one can’t help but wonder what – if anything – has changed with the glamorous residents of Utah’s snow-capped capital.

Of the five full-time RHOSLC cast members, the major net worth shake-up would surely be with lawsuit-embattled Shah? Let’s take a closer look.

5. Jen Shah, 49

Though the feisty reality star was previously reported to be worth US$3 million, per Screenrant, due to the scandalous events of the past couple of months, Shah’s personal fortune has presumably deteriorated substantially.

This is in light of damning accusations that the RHOSLC star was intricately involved in major money wire and telemarketing schemes that defrauded older, vulnerable people. Shah initially maintained her innocence and denied all allegations of wrongdoing in relation to what the courts, per Us Weekly, referred to as a US$5 million money laundering scheme.

During her first court hearing, Shah was set a “recognisance bond [bail] of US$1 million”, US$250,000 of which was ordered to be paid within a week. It was during this hearing that the reality star’s lawyer admitted to the courts that she owns no real assets, including the massive home viewers saw on the show, per US Weekly

Following a series of further legal proceedings, including failed attempts to have the case dismissed, Shah finally admitted guilt, changing her plea in court in July. As a result, per Deadline, Shah is currently facing a possible sentence of as much as 14 years behind bars as well as restitution of up to US$9.5 million.
