Most would agree that being a mother is a full-time job in itself, but there are many women who are able to efficiently juggle both their career and family life. As Mother’s Day is fast approaching on May 8, we take a look at how six of Hong Kong’s most famous faces do it.
1. Gigi Lai
Gigi Lai took over her brother’s medical aesthetic centre when he was seriously injured in a car crash in 2007. In 2009, she announced her retirement from acting so she could focus on family life with businessman Patrick Ma Ting-kung, as well as continuing her sibling’s business.
2. Cecilia Cheung
With her focus shifted to mainland China, she joined the popular reality show Sisters Who Make Waves 2 and has taken to the stage for key events. She also launched her own fashion and lifestyle brand SeeCeciStreet.
