Bling it like Beckham: inside Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding jewellery, from Victoria’s 21.5-carat diamond pendant and the bride’s US$1 million earrings, to Claudia Peltz’s Harry Winston necklace
- Nicola Peltz wore US$1 million diamond studs with her Valentino gown, while groom Brooklyn Beckham sported an Anita Ko gift from the in-laws to go with his Dior suit
- Claudia Peltz stole the show with the 95-carat ‘Star of the East’, which has passed through Cartier, the King of Egypt and Harry Winston
While the wedding couple opted for a more subtle jewellery look, their in-laws went all out with show-stopping pieces for the lavish occasion.
Brooklyn, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, wed Nicola, the heiress of billionaire Nelson and Claudia Heffner Peltz. The bride donned Valentino haute couture for her special day. Diamonds seemed to be the gemstone of choice to match the opulence of the occasion.
Although attention was focused on the exchange of vows between aspiring chef Brooklyn and actress Nicola, as witnessed by hundreds of A-list celebrity guests, many could not help but notice how the in-laws almost stole the limelight with their spectacular diamond pieces. So who wore what?
1. Nicola Peltz
The 27-year-old actress walked down the aisle with her father, turning heads in her beautiful yet simple Valentino couture wedding gown, complete with train and lace-trimmed veil. The gown was reportedly one year in the making and it involved multiple fittings in Rome and the United States for Nicola to achieve the perfection she had in mind.
In keeping with the pared-down style, Nicola accessorised her ensemble with lace gloves and a pair of diamond earrings of classic solitaire design. The earrings’ centre stones are of round brilliant cut said to be of at least 7 carats each. The earrings are estimated to be around US$1 million.
