The best jewellery at the Oscars 2022, from Jessica Chastain’s Gucci jewels and Nicole Kidman’s Harry Winston diamonds, to Zendaya in Bulgari and Timothée Chalamet in Cartier
- The Academy Awards were full of glitz: Olivia Colman, who plays Queen Elizabeth in Netflix’s The Crown, wore jewels fit for a royal from Chopard
- Kristen Stewart, who was nominated for her role as Princess Diana in Spencer, wore Chanel, while Ariana DeBose made history with her best supporting actress win while wearing De Beers
Before the winners were announced and the gold statuettes handed out, Oscars frenzy was already in full swing. International film stars and A-list celebrities dressed in their very best for their biggest night of the year, wowing photographers and waving to their fans at the 94th Oscars at the Dolby Theater, Los Angeles. Although it may be debatable whether the Academy Awards is the pinnacle of the cinematic arts, it’s clearly the red carpet to end all red carpets.
1. Jessica Chastain
And the Oscar goes to … Jessica Chastain for her best actress-worthy portrayal of the late controversial American televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker in the film The Eyes of Tammy Faye. Confident and majestic in her custom Gucci gown in gold and pastel purple, Chastain completed her show-stopping look with Gucci’s high jewellery pieces, including sparkling earrings, a bracelet and rings, designed by the brand’s creative director Alessandro Michele.
2. Olivia Colman
The epitome of effortless elegance, Olivia Colman stepped onto the red carpet in a silver pleated floor-length gown from Dior Couture. The dress’ high-neck perfectly complemented her Chopard high jewellery. The earrings in 18-carat white gold and diamonds come from the Precious Lace collection. The actress, who plays Queen Elizabeth in The Crown, also wore a regal ring with a 5.23-carat emerald cut diamond. She was nominated in the best actress category for her portrayal as the main character in The Lost Daughter.
