  • The duo both dropped out of the Royal Danish Army’s Sergeant School at the age of 19 to take up modelling, but runway shows are just a stepping stone for Nikolai
  • Georg Jensen jewellery is one of the brands to use the good looks of the princes, children of Prince Joachim and Hong Kong-born first wife Countess Alexandria

Prince Felix of Denmark, 19, has recently posed for a series of snaps for luxury Danish jeweller Georg Jensen, becoming the latest royal to walk into the modelling world.

He is not even the only member of the Danish royal family to become a model. His big brother, Nikolai, 22, also made the same choice at the same age back in 2018.

What else do we know about the royal models?

They are heirs to the Danish throne

As sons of Prince Joachim and his first wife, Alexandra Countess of Frederiksborg, Nikolai and Felix are the seventh and the eighth in the line of succession to the Danish throne, respectively.

Their parents divorced in 2005 and shared joint custody of both of the boys. The brothers have two more half-siblings – prince Henrik, 12, and princess Athena, 10 – from their father’s current marriage.

They broke royal tradition …

After graduating from high school, Nikolai and Felix went to the Royal Danish Army’s Sergeant School, as is the tradition of the Danish royal house. For centuries, it has had a very close connection to the military, so royals usually complete a two-year military training course.

However, after two months there, Nikolai quit in 2018 because he didn’t feel that he would have a career in the military, the Royal Central website reported.

Last year, Felix did exactly the same as his brother, dropping out of the school after two months. Although his reason was “private”, his mother revealed that, “It simply was not for him”, the Daily Express reported.
