What did Brunei’s Princess Fadzilah wear for her wedding? The billionaire sultan’s daughter donned 3 dazzling dresses along with Queen Saleha’s emerald tiara and a bouquet of jewelled ‘flowers’
- Princess Fadzilah, the ‘sporty princess’ and elder sister of Prince Mateen, married Awang Abdullah Nabil Mahmoud Al-Hashimi in a celebration spread over days
- The venue was Istana Nurul Iman, the Sultan’s official residence and one of the biggest palaces in the world, which was decked out in regalia reserved for special occasions
Not much information about Princess Fadzilah’s new husband has been disclosed to the public, and the world has been on the alert since December 31 last year, when the wedding was announced.
Throughout the celebrations, the couple were a sight to behold, their bright smiles and magnificent ensembles lighting up Istana Nurul Iman, the stately residence of the sultan and one of the biggest palaces in the world.
So what exactly did they wear during the extravagant celebrations?
Traditional red and gold
As reported on News Fox24, Fadzilah wore a traditional wedding dress in red adorned with gold details, and had on a tall crown in golden yellow with intricate carvings. Her groom was dressed just elegantly as and wore gold jewellery.
All-white
On the day of the ceremony called the Istiadat Bersanding Diraja, where the couple were presented together for the first time as husband and wife, the pair were clad in matching white brocade. Fadzilah’s jewellery included a tiara and matching necklace, bracelet and ring. A long veil, elegantly draped from behind her crown, was gathered in a floor-length hem that made her ensemble look even more regal. She also carried a bouquet of white and gold sparkly flowers. The couple’s smiles were as dazzling as Fadzilah’s jewellery.
