  • The K-pop idol offered fans a glimpse into his house on MBC’s I Live Alone: it’s minimalist, decorated with his artworks – and he doesn’t know how many rooms it has

It’s always satisfying to get a peek into the opulent homes of wealthy celebrities. With their multimillion-dollar net worths, it’s no surprise that the biggest K-pop stars live in dream homes, mostly concentrated in the Gangnam, Itaewon and Chungdam areas known for their expensive property prices in Seoul.
Earlier this year, Shinee’s Key moved into a new luxury home. On an episode of MBC’s I Live Alone, the singer said he has been living by himself for eight years and gave his fans a tour of his new property located in ultra-rich Hannam-dong.

Imagine living in a mansion so big that you don’t even know how many rooms it has! This is exactly what happened to Key, who revealed on the show that he had no idea how many rooms were in his enormous house.

During his appearance on MBC’s I Live Alone, when host Kian84 asked him about the number of rooms, he said, “I haven’t exactly counted yet” and added “I’m not sure if I should be counting the smaller rooms or not”.

But although the exact number of rooms is still unknown, we’re guessing there are at least six rooms including the dressing room, theatre, bedroom, terrace, kitchen and living room based on the tour on the show.

K-pop fans are probably familiar with ritzy Hannam-dong. The affluent area is filled with lavish properties that are home to celebrities like G-Dragon, BTS, Sunny from Girls’ Generation and Exo, reports Flokq.

Key chose to live at UN Village, a gated community in Hannam-dong known as “Seoul’s Beverly Hills”. Other famous residents include BTS’ Suga, who dropped US$3 million on a lavish mansion in 2019, reports The JoongAng.

Other celebrities who call UN Village home include Shin Min-a, Han Hyo-joo, Han Chae-young, Ha Ji-won, Lee Young-ae, Park Ye-jin and Lee Hyori, according to Mansion Global.
