Emma Grede, the first black female investor on the show, is the 39-year-old co-founder and CEO of denim-brand Good American and a founding partner in Kim Kardashian’s shapewear line Skims.

Grede founded the brand Good American with Khloe Kardashian in 2016 because she felt that so many women are left out of the fashion conversation and so she wanted to focus on size inclusiveness – the foundation of their brand. Grede and Kardashian are very ambitious and have influenced other brands to begin expanding their size range.

Not only is Grede close with the Kardashian sisters, but she also works with their mum-ager Kris Jenner for the brand Safely. The plant-based green home-cleaning products were introduced to Bed Bath & Beyond in March 2021.
