Blackpink’s Jisoo and English Premier League footballer Son Heung-min, of Tottenham Hotspur FC, have been linked for close to two years, even though YG Entertainment has continuously tried to squash the rumours. Here we delve into the pair’s seemingly intertwined fate.

When things started

Things started back in 2019, when Jisoo happened to be in London during the Chuseok (known as Korean Thanksgiving) holiday. She attended a Spurs game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, sitting alongside some of her staff, seemingly just as a tourist. However, the star was soon swept up in rumours when she posted an Instagram story of the game with a caption that cheered on the players.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that her story included Son Heung-min scoring a goal. As Son is known as one of South Korea’s most valued athletes and that came at the peak of his popularity domestically, many dismissed it as an act of patriotism.
