Angelababy, Guo Jingming or Huang Shengyi – which Chinese celebrity owns the most OTT, opulent home?

Celebrities are today more accessible to their fans than ever before – thanks in large part to social media, as well as the proliferation of reality TV shows, another way to get a heavily curated glimpse at how the rich and famous really live.
In the past few years, reality shows have blossomed in mainland China, with ratings hits such as Super Mom (媽媽是超人) and Viva La Romance (妻子的浪漫旅行), giving local celebrities a chance to show what they are made of, and also sometimes offering audiences a glimpse into the homes of the stars.
Let’s take a look at three of our favourite extravagant homes belonging to Chinese celebrities: those of actresses Eva Huang, Angelababy, and of the writer and director Edward Guo.
Eva Huang
Huang rose to fame after starring in Stephen Chow’s action comedy film Kung Fu Hustle in 2004. Cast in various popular TV dramas and movies in mainland China over the following years, she was regarded as one of the “New Four Dan actresses” – the most bankable stars – of the early 2000s, alongside Liu Yifei, Yang Mi and Wang Luodan.
The Shanghai-born actress married the actor, producer and entrepreneur, Yang Zi, in 2007, and the couple now have two boys, Andi and Anlin.
More recently, Huang Shengyi – also known as Eva Huang – has been under the spotlight again, appearing in various shows including the popular reality show, Sisters Who Makes Waves (乘風破浪的姐姐).
