Hip-hop artist joins his wife and his sister-in-law, Kylie Jenner, in the three-comma club, and likes to blow his fortune on everything from luxury real estate to lavish gifts for his children North, Psalm, Chicago and Saint West

It’s official – Kanye West has joined the highly exclusive ranks of the billionaires. After totting up his receipts, Forbes estimates his net worth at US$1.3 billion. West, however, believes that his net worth stands at some US$3.3 billion, according to a text he sent to the magazine.

FYI, West has been campaigning to enter the three-comma club ever since his 22-year-old sister-in-law, Kylie Jenner, was named the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. Despite being the world’s highest-paid hip-hop musician, most of West’s billions come from his Yeezy collaboration with Adidas, which started back in 2015.

West is married to reality TV star, Kim Kardashian, whose net worth is US$350 million. The couple have four children together, and it’s safe to say that West spends his wealth magnanimously, especially when it comes to his loved ones. Here’s a sneak peek as to how the newest and proudest Kardashian billionaire spends his money.

Real estate – lots of it

The Kardashian-West family lives on US$60 million worth of real estate. Their minimalist, pristine residence is located in Hidden Hills, California, and spans 15,667 square feet. The couple has been private about their mansion, but curious fans can get glimpses of it in Architectural Digest and Vogue’s 73 Questions series.

West also dropped US$28 million on two ranches in Wyoming, covering more than 8,000 acres of land, livestock and walk-in saunas. Kim told Business Insider he envisions them as the family’s weekend and summer getaway destinations.

West doesn’t just buy luxurious homes and getaways for himself, though. Insider reports that the rapper had tried to build Star Wars-inspired domes in Calabasas, in an effort to aid the homeless. Unfortunately, these structures were torn down as West did not first secure a permit to build them.
