Bill Gates is catching up with Jeff Bezos in the race to become the world’s richest individual, according to the latest Bloomberg Billionaires Index

From Jeff Bezos to Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, at the beginning of last year, the 10 richest people in the world had a total wealth of US$855.1 billion compared to US$740.7 billion now. That’s an increase of US$114.4 billion. Steve Ballmer alone added US$22.6 billion to his net worth.

To identify the net worth of the world’s 10 richest people, CEOWORLD magazine reviewed Bloomberg Billionaires Index data from February 2019, and compared it with the same billionaires’ net worth in February 2020. In the last year, the rich have got a whole lot richer.
