Style Edit: Henry Jacques’ first In All Intimacy collection was inspired by Rafael Nadal and his wife Maria Perello, now artists Heron Preston and Sabrina Albarello are the muses
Inspired by the artists’ shared passion for sustainability and technology, the perfumer captures their unique personalities and creative vision in its new line
For more than half a century, bespoke perfume maison Henry Jacques has been on a quest to craft the world’s finest essences and scents. In 2022, the French brand created the In All Intimacy collection which embraces perfume as a way to share stories, capture legacies and convey emotions. This resulted in the first chapter in a series – a trio of captivating scents inspired and created by tennis star Rafael Nadal and his wife Maria Perello.
This November Henry Jacques opens up a new creative world with the collection’s second edition which is dedicated to the story of New York-based artist, art director and DJ Heron Preston and his partner Sabrina Albarello.
The multifaceted couple’s work is inspired by sustainability and technology, and so speaks to the next wave of culture, fashion, innovation, environmental responsibility and human impact. Each fragrance channels their creativity, contemporary vision and love for authenticity – values which also resonate with Henry Jacques.
Despite sharing three key ingredients, the resulting pair of fragrances are distinct yet complementary, mirroring the balance and connection in their relationship.
Preston’s journey begins with a crisp burst of freshness, characterised by Brazilian palmarosa. A hint of rose, bergamot and spicy notes balance the fresh spark. Hay and warm tonka bean evoke memories of his grandmother’s freshly baked cookies, and are further complemented by sandalwood, benzoin and vanilla, which add leathery and smoky notes to deepen the fragrance.
Albarello’s scent, in contrast, is soft and enveloping like a warm embrace, with hints of cinnamon and cardamom. Tonka bean, clove, vanilla and benzoin mirror Preston’s fragrance and reiterate the unity of the couple. The perfume is perfectly balanced by the comforting scent of delicate white flowers, adding a sensual and elegant finish.
