Singer HyunA’s agency issued a stern response to the rampant spread of baseless rumours against her.
Her agency, AT Area, said: “Since the announcement of her marriage with Yong Jun-hyung, defamatory comments have reached an intolerable level.”
It said that the production and dissemination of “completely false rumours” had intensified, especially after the release of the couple’s wedding photos, prompting the agency to take a firm stance.

“We have been preparing legal action against continuous personal attacks, false information, and malicious distortions targeting our artist, HyunA. However, at the artist’s request, we have been lenient in the past,” it said.
“Moving forward, to protect her dignity, we emphasise that there will be no warnings, leniency, or settlements regarding malicious rumours, and we will take strict lawful action.”
HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung, a former member of the K-pop boy band Beast, publicly announced their relationship on Instagram in January this year.
In July, AT Area said: “HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung, who have been great sources of support for each other during difficult times, have decided to take their relationship to the next level and have promised to marry.
“They will hold a ceremony in October with close friends and start a new chapter in their lives.”

The couple are set to have a private outdoor wedding on October 11 at Samcheonggak in Seoul.
Previously, rumours of a premarital pregnancy between the two had surfaced, but HyunA’s side has denied them.
HyunA debuted in 2007 as a member of girl band Wonder Girls. She left the group the same year and debuted with another band, 4Minute, in 2009. Yong debuted in 2009 as a member of Beast, left the group in March 2019 and has since continued his activities as a solo artist.
