Light Shop actress Park Bo-young is in hot demand, with several potential roles on the way. Meanwhile, other major names are circling romantic dramas.

1. Wife of a 21st Century Prince

Lee Ji-eun, better known as the K-pop superstar IU, is set to reunite with actor Byeon Woo-seok in the coming MBC drama Wife of a 21st Century Prince, which will focus on the romance between a modern-day monarch and a corporate heiress.

Lee will appear as Sung Hee-joo, the second child of a corporate tycoon who despises being a mere commoner despite her status and riches. Byeon will play Lee Ahn, the second son of the king who strives to hide his identity from people.

The performers previously collaborated on the drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo in 2016, which featured Lee in the lead and Byeon in an early supporting role.

Lee’s major K-dramas include Hotel Del Luna and My Mister. She will soon be seen opposite Park Bo-gum in the Netflix drama When Life Gives You Tangerines.

Over the past few years, Byeon has been rising up through series such as Record of Youth, Moonshine and Strong Girl Nam-soon, before scoring a leading-role hit in the acclaimed high-school romance drama Lovely Runner.
