A particularly long summer has finally come to an end in Korea, but our screens will continue to heat up throughout October thanks to a jam-packed schedule of tantalising new TV dramas.
1. Spice Up Our Love
Lead cast: Lee Sang-yi, Han Ji-hyun
In No Gain No Love, Han plays Nam Ja-yeon, a writer of erotic internet novels, while Lee is a corporate heir. In this event series, the actors will portray characters in one of Nam’s steamy novels. (TVing, October 3)
2. Family by Choice
Lead cast: Hwang In-youp, Jung Chae-yeon, Bae Hyun-sung
The quintet eventually go their separate ways and are reunited a decade later. A lot has happened in the interim – not least that San-ha and Hae-jun now both have romantic feelings for Ju-won. (JTBC, October 9)
3. Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard
Lead cast: Lee Joon-hyuk, Park Sung-woong
Lee Joon-hyuk reprises his role as prosecutor Seo Dong-jae in Stranger spin-off series Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard.
