Following Mask Girl last year, this August Netflix invites us to visit a sunny lodge in the woods to indulge in some swimming and sun – and plenty of dark, twisty and bloody psychological thrills – in its latest original Korean drama, The Frog.
Focusing on events at two rural Korean holiday homes 20 years apart, the series is directed by Mo Wan-il (The World of the Married) and stars film actor Kim Yoon-seok (The Thieves), in his first TV drama role in almost two decades, along with Yoon Kye-sang (The Kidnapping Day) and up-and-comer Go Min-si (Sweet Home).

Kim plays Jeong Young-ha, the widowed proprietor of a handsome vacation rental in the woods. One day, mysterious young woman Yoo Sung-a (Go) comes to stay along with her stepson. She appears to leave without incident, but then Young-ha starts to believe something may have happened to her stepson.
