Korean music label SM Entertainment announced plans to debut a new eight-piece girl group, Hearts2Hearts, on February 24, the company’s first rookie girl group since Aespa in 2020.
The K-pop powerhouse announced this week that the new act’s name reflects the group’s mission to “connect with global fans through a magical and beautiful musical world filled with heartfelt emotions and genuine messages”.
Hearts2Hearts will be the first girl group from the label produced without the involvement of SM’s founder Lee Soo-man, who stepped down as executive producer in March 2023.
The eight members have been named as Carmen, Jiwoo, Haram, Dahyun, Jooeun, Yuna, Leean and Nayeon, but few other details have been officially released.
