Space is a luxury that few in Hong Kong can truly afford, which is why a trip to Horizon Plaza's top floor - and TREE's spacious, airy showroom - is such a pleasure. At about 25,000 sq ft, the shop really is an antidote to Hong Kong's cramped, crowded showrooms.
In 2005, founder Nicole Wakley took the problems created by a lack of high-quality, sustainable home furnishings in Hong Kong into her own hands and opened TREE's first showroom in Horizon Plaza. The company is now located on the building's 28th floor.
"We're very proud of our beautiful loft space on the top floor of Horizon Plaza, which has the best views in the building," says Tammy Hoy. "Our customers love the warm, homely feel of our ever-changing showroom display features, where we mix and match our versatile collections to create example rooms that inspire shoppers looking for something new and special for their homes."
The family-friendly flagship store also boasts a TREE Café, baby-changing facilities, a children's play area and free cupcakes and "babycinos".
The company is one of the first in Hong Kong to provide a broad assortment of 100 per cent Forest Stewardship Council-certified wood products, and the diverse range spans everything from signature eco-teak wood products to sofas, chairs, accessories and beds.
Working closely with suppliers, the company can also custom-make many of its signature wood pieces and sofas.
