5 wellness must-dos this weekend in Hong Kong, October 24-27, from running to a retreat
Feeling anxious? Join a support group. Yoga sessions help you relax and recharge, while a serial marathoner leads a free running class
Will we have typhoon weather or not this weekend? Some organisers have already cancelled or postponed events, but here are five wellness sessions that are likely to go ahead come rain or sunshine.
Feeling lonely, depressed or stressed? Do not sit in silence. Join others at a confidential and professional support group session. Take part in a yoga and singing bowls session that benefits mental health charity The New Normal. Start or supercharge your running practice at a free session led by a marathon running veteran.
Peel yourself off the sofa – and go.
1. OCD & Anxiety adult support group meeting
It regularly embraces new members and provides a space for them to share their fears and worries in a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment. The session includes discussions, reflections and opportunities to learn and practice different proven methods to reduce anxiety. No one needs to share if they are uncomfortable.
It takes place on Saturday from 2.30pm to 4.30pm; the suggested donation to attend is HK$100 (US$13).
