Culinary Class Wars, Netflix’s hit cooking competition series that captivated audiences worldwide this autumn with its intense cooking battles and passionate chefs, is now looking for talented individuals eager to showcase their culinary skills for a new season.
Netflix said on December 3 that it is accepting applications from contestants for the show’s second season, scheduled to be released in the latter half of 2025.
People can apply for season two through the official social media channels of Netflix Korea. The casting call is open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds with a passion for cooking and a desire to push the boundaries of flavour.

Celebrity restaurateur Paik Jong-won and Korea’s only Michelin three-star restaurant chef Anh Sung-jae will reprise their roles as judges, searching for the next generation of culinary stars.
“We’re excited to discover new and exciting culinary talents for season two,” Paik said in a promotional video. “Whether you’re a seasoned professional or a home cook with a passion for food, we encourage you to apply.”
Anh added, “The first season was a testament to the incredible culinary talent in Korea. We’re looking forward to seeing what the second season will bring and to continue our search for the ultimate culinary champion.”
In season one, which was released in September, Culinary Class Wars introduced a dynamic competition between a “white spoon” class of 20 established chefs and a “black spoon” class of 80 lesser-known, up-and-coming chefs.
Through the intense cooking challenges between renowned chefs and aspiring ones, the participants showed off their skills and creativity. The show’s unique blend of culinary expertise and heart-warming moments resonated with audiences both in Korea and around the world.

Chef Kwon Sung-jun, known as “Napoli Matfia” during the show, from the black spoon class, emerged as the winner and his success transformed his pasta restaurant Via Toledo in Seoul’s Yongsan district into one of the city’s most sought-after dining reservations.
Thanks to its popularity, the show has become a must-watch series for food lovers worldwide and the new season is expected to bring even more exciting challenges, innovative dishes and unforgettable culinary moments.
