And, dare we say it, Hong Kong International Airport is no longer a speciality coffee desert, which will go some way to making those early morning flights a touch more bearable.

1. Sang Roastery

The stylish To Kwa Wan roastery cafe has opened up a Central location seemingly for those who cannot be convinced to cross the harbour.

Setting up across from PMQ on Hong Kong Island, in what some may remember as the original location of Little Bao, the new Sang Roastery – which it is cheekily calling its “Sangtral” store – has an eye-catching and instantly recognisable facade with its signature red logo standing out among the natural wood.

The team sources and roasts its own beans from ethical suppliers, so head here for drip coffees with character.
