As we approach the Mid-Autumn Festival on September 17, some people might be looking to celebrate early with family this weekend.
Whether it is a traditional Chinese meal or an alternative you are seeking, here are our picks of places to gather your loved ones for a feast.
1. The Chinese Restaurant
From now until November 15, head to The Chinese Restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong for its new “Sustainable Specialties – Ocean Treasures” menu featuring seafood certified by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), or sourced from an aquaculture improvement project.
Chef de cuisine Wong Ho-kan has created six seafood dishes for the menu, including MSC-certified live Boston lobster with milk, egg white, pine nuts and ham.

2. The Farmhouse
This North Point restaurant is featuring a special collaboration with Grand Hyatt Hangzhou’s 28 Hubin Road restaurant to create the “Journey to Hangzhou” lunch and dinner buffets, which will be served from September 12 to November 30.
Highlights include Zhejiang-style pork belly, wok-fried shrimp with longjing tea leaves, and dinner-only exclusives such as hairy crab marinated in 10-year yellow rice wine, and steamed flower crabs in 20-year yellow rice wine.
