She designed Taylor Swift’s 34th birthday dress and has been worn by Rosé, Emma Chamberlain, Kim Kardashian and Ashley Graham: meet Clio Peppiatt
- It has been a crazy couple of years for Clio Peppiatt, whose hand-beaded and hand-embroidered party dresses have become some of fashion’s most-wanted pieces
- Her ‘Night Lucina’ dress sold out the day Taylor Swift wore it for her birthday in December, while her spring 2023 bridalwear became bestsellers on Net-a-Porter

Clio Peppiatt is moving on up, quite literally. On the day of our lunch meeting, she was in the middle of relocating her team from their studio to a larger space.
“We moved into our current studio last January [2023]. It’s quite big so I thought we’ll be here for a few years. Lo and behold, we’ve outgrown it,” says the Paris-born, London-based designer.
Peppiatt’s team is on track to grow to as many as 12 people by the end of the year, up from just two in January 2023 – a sign of how quickly the business, which was founded in 2015, has gained pace, something of a rarity in today’s tough fashion climate.
Peppiatt’s hand-beaded and hand-embroidered party dresses have become some of fashion’s most-wanted pieces, seen on the likes of Rosé, Emma Chamberlain, Ashley Graham, Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift, who wore the “Night Lucina” dress on her birthday.

The Post asked the up-and-coming designer a few questions.
Q: Can you take me through your background and brand journey?
