Dressed in flowing black robes reminiscent of the Korean martial art kumdo and wielding swords with robotic hands, Nemesis is one of a half-dozen heroes battling the evil Imperium in Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire.

“I see her almost like a volcano covered in snow,” says Bae Doona, the acclaimed South Korean star who plays the role. “She holds this pain and loss internally, but she also has this searing sense of vengeance.”
Nemesis makes a sensational entrance in Rebel Moon, descending an industrial elevator into a cobalt mine to battle a giant, talking spider that has kidnapped a young child.
“We put a lot of effort into that scene,” Bae tells the Post. “The fights in Rebel Moon are incredibly important. That spider scene took a month to rehearse.”
Bae began training as soon as she arrived in Los Angeles for the production.
