Art lovers have some good nightlife options once the doors close at the big exhibitions this week. From jazz and chillout, to psychedelia and drum ’n’ bass, there’s a gig for almost everyone during Hong Kong’s big art week.

March 22
Chick Corea
The veteran jazz pianist returns to Hong Kong with the original line-up of his Elektric Band. Corea has worked with a veritable Who’s Who of the jazz world, including Miles Davis, Stan Getz and John McLaughlin, and has said the upcoming show will feature music the band’s five members have recorded during the past 30 years.

March 23
Bo Ningen
After a mesmerising performance at Clockenflap in 2015, psychedelic Japanese band Bo Ningen are returning for their first headline performance in the city. Bo Ningen’s sound is influenced by bands as diverse as Kraftwerk and Black Sabbath, and the long-haired rockers are renowned for their blistering live shows, so come prepared.

March 24
Sophie Barker
After emerging as a vocalist for British downtempo outfit Zero 7, Sophie Barker went on to work with influential artists such as Groove Armada, David Guetta and Robin Guthrie from the Cocteau Twins.
Barker will be performing an exclusive showcase of her latest album, “Break the Habit”, and tickets also include access to the after party.

Zouk at Sea with Headhunterz
Singapore’s famed Zouk club now has a sister venue aboard the huge Genting Dream cruise ship, and the liner will be departing for a two-day cruise with lots of partying at the end of the week. The Zouk at Sea event features a headline set by Dutch DJ/producer Headhunterz, and partygoers will also receive full access to the ship’s facilities.

March 25
Sónar Hong Kong Warm Up
Hong Kong’s electronic music community is eagerly awaiting the first local edition of Barcelona’s famed Sónar festival on April 1, and this event at Social Room in Central will help get the ball rolling. The headline performer is Berlin-based Canadian DJ Noah Pred, supported by rising local star Ocean Lam, and discounted tickets to the Sónar festival will be available at the venue.

Goldie on the Beach
Just a few months after he played before a packed crowd at the W hotel, British drum ’n’ bass hero Goldie is returning for a more intimate gig – at the unlikely location of the Maverick’s beach bar/restaurant at Pui O, Lantau. And unlike his previous gig here, he’ll be playing a strict drum ’n’ bass set, backed up by many of the sound’s top local exponents.
