Vita Golod
Vita Golod is a researcher from Kyiv, Ukraine. She earned her PhD in economics from the Institute of International Relations and World Economy in Ukraine and is currently a visiting scholar at the Carolina Asia Centre, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a junior research fellow at the A. Yu. Krymskyi Institute of Oriental Studies, NAS of Ukraine, chairman of the board of the Ukrainian Association of Sinologists, and co-founder of the Ukrainian Platform for Contemporary China.

Chinese scholars are beginning to recognise that Beijing’s close ties with Moscow amid the war in Ukraine cast a negative shadow on China’s global reputation. There is still a significant gap between China and Ukraine over the war, which can be bridged by more academic and cultural exchange.
