Sarah Loh

Sarah Loh is a policy research analyst at the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, the country’s oldest think tank that has been ranked as the best independent think tank in Asia. She assists in the conceptualisation and coordination of the institute’s Asean Programme and her research focuses on politics and socio-economic issues of Asean countries, as well as regional integration.

With governments’ finances stretched, there is an increasing recognition that the region can no longer afford economy-crippling restrictions and must return to trajectories that stimulate growth. While the region’s pre-pandemic potential remains, reforms are needed to boost efforts to move up the value chain.
