Director, Photo
Veteran photojournalist Robert Ng is the Photo Director of the South China Morning Post. Robert began his career in 1986 and joined the Post three years later. During his 34-year career with the Post, Robert has covered many landmark events, including the Hong Kong handover, the Sars outbreak, the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, the Beijing Olympics and many other key stories in Greater China. He has won multiple awards for his work and has produced a rich collection of iconic photos. Robert rose through the ranks and became the Deputy Photo Editor in 2003, responsible for day-to-day operations as well as the curation and editing of many Post photo projects. He was promoted to the Photo Director position in 2022.
