George Zhizhao Liu
Dr George Zhizhao Liu is a professor and associate head (partnership) of the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has long been engaged in research on precise GPS/GNSS positioning and navigation, ionospheric scintillation monitoring, the impact of space weather on flight navigation, atmospheric water vapour remote sensing and its effects on AI and numerical weather prediction. He is a scientific advisor to the Hong Kong Observatory, an executive committee member and lifetime member of the Hong Kong Meteorological Society, a fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineering Surveyors, and the founding president of the Canadian Institute of Geomatics Hong Kong Branch.
