Macau has strengthened its position as an integrated travel destination in Asia with the opening of new facilities on the Cotai Strip.
They not only offer accommodation and casinos, but also retail, dining, entertainment and facilities for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions.
Two hotels opened on the Cotai Strip earlier this month: the Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central and the Conrad Macao, Cotai Central.
Part of the Sands Cotai Central integrated resort development, the hotels will be joined by a third property, the Sheraton Macao Hotel Cotai Central, early next year.
The three hotels will have a combined total of nearly 5,800 rooms, 1.2 million sq ft of retail space, entertainment facilities, food and beverage outlets and meeting and convention rooms.
They are situated across the road from the Venetian Sands and Four Seasons hotels.
The nearly 100 boutiques and galleries at Shoppes Cotai Central will join the 500 retail outlets across the road at The Grand Canal Shoppes and The Shoppes at Four Seasons to create the largest number of retail outlets in one location in the city.
