The XJ Supersport is the ultimate power statement from Jaguar. Sleek, luxurious and breathtakingly fast, the British marque's flagship saloon combines limousine comfort with supercar speed on a lightweight, aluminium body.
Crafted with aerospace construction techniques to offer greater strength, acceleration and fuel economy, the Big Cat is 5.247 metres long, 2.110m wide and 1.448m high. Its design is dynamic with a low, wide stance on 20-inch wheels under muscular arches, and distinctive with sharp, intelligent high beam Xenon headlamps and 'cat's claw' rear light clusters.
The Supercharged XJ features a unique glass panoramic roof that floods the cabin with natural light via glass that is toughened to reflect heat and filter the sun's harmful rays. At night, cool phosphor blue-halo mood lighting lends a contemporary accent to the cabin's soft, hand-stitched leatherwork, warm wood and cool chrome finishes. Behind the three-spoke, soft-grain wood and leather-coated, heated steering-wheel, a 12.3-inch TFT virtual display screen shows gauges as three-dimensional instruments.
An eight-inch screen in the centre console displays navigation and entertainment information, with touch-button or voice controls, while an analogue clock recalls the racy gentility of Jaguar's heritage.
Built on a 3.157-metre wheelbase, the Supercharged XJ offers every comfort in its rear seats, with more than a metre of legroom, business trays, reading lamps, privacy glass, four-zone climate control, and a full range of infotainment options on dual eight-inch LCD screens with Rear Media Interface and touch-screen remote. Specially designed rear seats can mould to the shape of the passengers' spines, and have winged headrests, angled footrests and a massage system.
A 1,200-watt Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system features Dolby Pro logic IIx or DTS Neo 6, a hard-disk drive for audio files, and 20 speakers. Its multimedia system has an eight-inch HD touch-screen display with controls for audio, Bluetooth telephone, climate control and trip computer.
