Meeting targets

Since opening in late 2009, the China National Convention Centre in Beijing has met its brief as the first purpose-built facility to provide a national-level space for international and domestic meetings and conferences. The first half of this year has seen the venue host more than 340 meetings and conventions and 33 exhibitions.

After being featured in the 12th Five-Year Economic Plan, the MICE industry has been recognised as an important component in strategically positioning Beijing as a world city.

Located among the major attractions of the Beijing Olympic Park, more than 30 hotels provide in excess of 10,000 rooms within 5km of the centre of the park.
