Candy-coloured plastic watches seem to be hip again. Californian accessories brand Nixon showed off its summer collection of plastic timepieces last Wednesday at Shore Restaurant & Bar, attracting a string of local hipsters such as Canto-pop idols Pakho Chau Pak-ho, Kelvin Kwan Chor-yiu and the ever-cool DJ Miss Yellow, sporting her indoor shades.
Also adding to the party's eye-candy count were up-and-coming starlets including Carol Yeung Chi-yiu, Shiga Lin Si-nga and Monie Tung Man-lei. Singer-songwriter Ryan Hui Wai-yan, son of Canto-pop veteran Sam Hui Koon-kit, even brought along his wife Candace, to check out the watches, despite her being five months' pregnant with twins. It's never too early to shop for timepieces - and bibs, no?
