Members of the Town Planning Board did not reach a conclusion yesterday on whether the land housing Li Ka-shing's Cheung Kong Holdings' headquarters should be rezoned as a commercial area. If successful, the proposal will stipulate that Li-owned Hutchison Whampoa, the landlord and manager of the 62-storey building, must retain all of its 800 public parking spaces. Hutchison wants to convert 78 spaces into a supermarket.
