More than 40 concern groups held a demonstration at the Kowloon Motor Bus headquarters in Lai Chi Kok yesterday to demand that the company introduce discounted fares for people with disabilities.

About 50 representatives of the different groups marched from the Mei Foo bus terminal to the company's headquarters at about noon.
They made paper cranes expressing their wish for half-priced bus fares.
All public transport was free yesterday for people with disabilities. 'We hope KMB will learn from the MTR, which announced in May that it would introduce half fares for disabled people,' Allen Chan Kam-yuen, convenor of the concern group Half-Fare in Public Transport for People with Disability, said.
