What is it?
Omorovicza was founded in 2006 by a Budapest couple Stephen and Margaret de Heinrich de Omorovicza, who discovered the benefits of Hungary's mineral-rich waters, which have been used in the treatment of all kinds of ailments. The duo turned to a dermatology lab to look into the healing properties of the waters. The unique waters are the foundation of the brand's cutting-edge skincare range.
Who are the founders?
Stephen was born in Switzerland and a descendant of a noble Hungarian family. He went to Budapest to explore his Hungarian roots and ended up meeting Margaret, an American. They now live in Budapest.
What's the idea behind it?
The founders pioneered a concept called mineral cosmetology, which combines thermal hydrotherapy and scientific inquiry into the bioavailability of minerals. The concept also features a delivery system called the pannon complex, which enables minerals, trace elements, proteins and vitamins to break down into mineral-protein compounds in the process of biofermentation, making it easier for the skin to absorb the components and stimulating the performance of the skin's natural functions.
