A Paris-based natural haircare brand that uses essential oils and plant extracts to bring shine and vitality to hair. The company's eponymous founder set it up more than 35 years ago after she met her husband, who was well versed in botany, and long before natural products became fashionable. Her daughter, Caroline is chief executive, so it's a family-run business. Its clients are said to include models and celebrities such as Christy Turlington, Juliette Binoche and Drew Barrymore.

What's the concept?

The founder believes in formulas with delicate aromas and products that are gentle and chemical-free (there's no sodium laureth sulphate or silicone) so they can be used on a daily basis.

What about the products?

The brand's range of about 30 products includes masks, shampoos and styling products. It has a range of treatment products to treat different hair and scalp conditions, such as hair loss, coloured hair and weak and damaged hair. They're scented with fruit and flower fragrances and every product hydrates, softens, nourishes and strengthens. The brand's styling products are silicone-free, thus avoiding a heavy build-up. It says its anti-dandruff shampoo is different from other brands because it is coal tar-free and its mixture of propolis and botanical active ingredients prevents the development of microbial flora and scalp irritation.
