China's insatiable appetite for commodities shows no sign of faltering. Taking advantage of this are investors who are pouring money into Australian resources companies that continue to feed this demand. They continue to make lucrative returns as a result of the 'China play', say brokers and analysts.
In Western Australia, the country's most resource-rich state, the boom has been under way for more than a decade and has already delivered spectacular results for both the state economy and investors.
However, there is more to come, analysts say. 'Investors haven't missed the boat,' says Paul Adams, head of research at Perth broker DJCarmichael. 'There are many more opportunities in the pipeline.'
Resource companies will continue to come to the market to raise capital at various times of the year, Mr Adams says.
'And we are aware of some explorers who are trying to put together, in the next two to three years, some very large projects that will require significant amounts [of capital].'
