HKPC lines up firms for manufacturing portal

The Hong Kong Productivity Council has formed an alliance with three technology companies to create an intellectual property management system for manufacturers in the Pearl River delta.
Microsoft Hong Kong, Print-Rite Holdings and Smart.net (Hong Kong) signed up for the project last week. Financial details were not disclosed.
The council said their goal was to set up a secure and efficient portal that would help about 60,000 manufacturers in the delta gather and review data during product design and innovation.
