A letter with a cutter blade was found at the Central office of April Fifth Action Group legislator 'Long Hair' Leung Kwok-hung yesterday, a day after the attack on Democrat lawmaker Albert Ho Chun-yan.
Mr Leung is out of town on holiday but his staff reported the case to the police. Earlier this month, Civic Party legislator Audrey Eu Yuet-me received a death threat along with a cutter blade in a letter a day after the controversial covert surveillance bill was passed.
Keith Au Kwok-kuen, assistant to Mr Leung, said the letter warned Mr Leung that if he did not commit suicide within three days of receiving the letter, he would be tracked down at the Legislative Council.
It was postmarked July 18 but Mr Au said it became lost in piles of letters and he only opened it yesterday.
'Around 3pm I opened the letter and found a cutter blade attached,' he said.
Mr Au said he was unable to reach Mr Leung, who is in Eastern Europe, and is expected back on September 7.
