Developed for digital video editing on a personal computer, Avid Liquid 7 offers the Swiss Army Knife-version of essential software programs to get the job done.
It has a fully integrated video toolset:
editing, audio, DVD authoring and effects in one affordable, easy-to-use application. Editors only need to learn one interface to create standard-definition or high-definition video productions with thousands of sophisticated effects and surround audio - and quickly output these to tape, disc or streaming media. The software's functions were designed to match all levels of video editing experience.
Avid Liquid 7 is part of the new line of non-linear editing software from Avid Technology. This line was drawn from products formerly developed by digital video specialist Pinnacle Systems, which was acquired by Avid Technology last August.
Avid Technology is a leading supplier of digital nonlinear media-creation, management and distribution software and hardware systems used in the film, video, audio, animation, games and broadcast industries.
A key feature of Avid Liquid 7 is its multimedia format support. That means native editing of popular codecs - the coder/decoder programs used to convert analogue video and audio signals into a digital format for transmission. These include Windows Media, Mpeg-2, Mpeg-4 and DivX.
