Size does not matter for the new Mac mini. It is what is inside that counts, according to Apple Computer. That happens to be Intel's processors, delivering performance up to four times faster than the compact computer's previous chip. It comes with Apple Remote and the next generation of Front Row media software, which gives users a simple way to enjoy their digital music, photos and videos from across the room. Users can effortlessly access shared iTunes playlists, iPhoto libraries and video throughout their home via Bonjour, Apple's zero-configuration wireless network built into Mac OS X. The Mac mini with a 1.5-gigahertz Intel Core Solo chip costs $4,700, while the version with Intel's 1.66 GHz Core Duo processor comes for $6,300.
