The action-adventure video game for the PC platform, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe lives up to the hype generated by the Oscar Award-winning, box-office hit film it is based on.

Publisher Buena Vista Games and developer Traveller's Tales collaborated with graphics processor maker Nvidia to boost the game's performance on PCs equipped with its chips. As a result, The Chronicles of Narnia marks an achievement in visual quality for PC games.

The game takes C.S. Lewis' classic story to new heights by seamlessly integrating movie footage with gameplay, including 15 levels of combat and puzzle-solving situations. The game also has extensive use of voice talent from the Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media film.

Players enter the world of Narnia, a land frozen in a 100-year winter by the evil powers of the White Witch Jadis. To end this frigid captivity and free his people, the mighty lion Aslan invokes an ancient prophecy.

The destined saviours of Narnia are four siblings - Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie - from the England of the second world war. The children enter the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe while playing hide-and-seek in the country home of an elderly professor. They discover a world filled with talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs and giants, and cursed with an eternal winter.

Under the guidance of Aslan, the children must work together and use their unique combat skills, weaponry and abilities to free Narnia from the White Witch's icy spell.
